My Why and Creative Process

Nature has always been my inspiration, with its beauty, secrets, and healing power. I love to spend time outdoors, absorbing the gorgeous mystery that nature has to offer and trying to capture it in my work. Whether it's a landscape or a close-up, my aim is to emulate nature's beauty through color and paint.

For me, painting is a journey of self-discovery, where the process is as important as the outcome. Every new piece of work is an opportunity to reflect on my recent outdoor visits and photographs, experiment with different compositions and create studies. Then, I select a palette that speaks to my experience outdoors. My painting practice is intuitive, and I have to trust when a painting is complete and let the viewer take it from there. As Paul Gardner said, “A painting is never finished - it simply stops in interesting places."

My intention is that through each layer of paint, you feel the captivation of Mother Nature. I believe it's important to choose artwork that speaks to you and gives you that sparkly feeling inside. A chosen painting has the opportunity to become your own outdoor getaway.

Thank you for visiting my work, and I hope you find it inspiring and uplifting.
